Our Mission
To empower children, parents, educators, and communities with the knowledge, skills, and tools to use the internet safely, responsibly, and productively through training, advocacy, research, and innovation that protect young people online and promote healthy digital habits.
OUR HISTORY
The idea behind HOPE FOR YOUNG was born out of a personal experience. As a parent of three children, our founder a lawyer and Managing Partner at Nobilis Law Firm faced the growing challenge of managing her children’s screen time and helping them maintain a healthy balance between online activities and real-life engagement.
What began as a family concern soon became a greater purpose. Motivated to find solutions, she conducted research and discovered that the challenges of excessive screen time, online safety, and digital dependency were not unique to her home they were global issues.
In Rwanda, she found that parents, educators, and children lacked the awareness and skills to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
Driven by this realization, she began organizing events and training sessions through Nobilis Law Firm, where she brought together experts, parents, and children to discuss safe technology use and the importance of digital balance. The overwhelming response revealed a deep need for ongoing, structured efforts in this area.
Recognizing that sustainable impact required a dedicated institution, she founded HOPE FOR YOUNG, a Community Benefit Company committed to providing solutions for digital well-being. T
oday, the organization combines training, advocacy, research, legal support, and innovation to protect children online and help families build healthier digital lifestyles ensuring that young people grow up empowered, safe, and connected to real life.
